Wicklund’s CARSTAR in Liberty is looking for cars — and their drivers — to help the company set the Guinness World Record for the largest car wash in history.

Wicklund’s will join in the Soaps It Up! Car Wash held across the U.S. and Canada as a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis in Canada and the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the U.S., as well as the Liberty High School football program locally.

“To set the Guinness World Record for Most Cars Washed — Multiple Venues,

we are encouraging Liberty car owners to come out on Saturday, June 20, to support this great cause and help us set the Guinness World Record,” said Gerald Wicklund, owner of Wicklund’s CARSTAR. “It’s going to be a fun event where we can raise funds for a great cause and mark our place in history.”

Wicklund’s CARSTAR is at 941 Sutton Place in Liberty. The car wash will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets for the event are available at Wicklund’s for $10.

CARSTAR stores in Canada have been conducting the “Soaps It Up!” Car Wash for the past five years, but it is the first time the program has been done in the U.S.
