The Travel Channel program “America Haunts” will be filming at Kansas City's haunted houses this weekend.

Filming will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, and continue until 10 p.m. at The Beast and Edge of Hell in Kansas City’s West Bottoms.

The local haunts will be featured on an episode scheduled to air in October.

The Edge of Hell turns 35 years old this season, and its continued innovations using animatronics, special effects, Hollywood-style costumes and movie-quality props get it ongoing national recognition.

“We’ll have Thriller Dancers, the headless horseman and the whole cast of frightful characters on-hand to greet thrill seekers outside and inside The Beast and Edge of Hell,” said Amber Arnett-Bequeaith, Full Moon Productions vice president. “The Travel Channel will be interviewing many patrons to be featured with the haunts, which just adds to the fun.”
