A citation has been issued to a Kearney woman involved in an accident that killed a teen on a motorcycle in July. Terry L. Wrisinger, 44, of Kearney was issued a citation for careless and imprudent driving, a class A misdemeanor, after an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, according to Jim Roberts, a spokesman for the Clay County prosecuting attorney. According to the report from the Highway Patrol, Kyle Alex Myers of Liberty was riding a motorcycle east on 164th Street in Clay County, just east of Kearney, and Wrisinger was driving a car west on 164th Street at 4:55 p.m. July 4. While turning left onto Rae Lee Drive off 164th Street, Wrisinger turned into the path of Myers, the report states. Myers, who graduated from Kearney High School in May, collided with Wrisinger’s car. Myers, who wearing his helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Roberts said the charges against Wrisinger could result in up to one year in county jail or up to a $1,000 fine. Wrisinger’s arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30.
