Censorship at the Tribune
written by LibertyLaw, January 21, 2010
Now that William Walker is running for public office will the editor of the Tribune continue to censor negative comments about her friend? Will Angie on the other hand follow her own advice and let the sun shine in on William Walker and friends?

Liberty School Board

When will the Liberty School board make a public apology for the past financial mismanagement of the district? As a Liberty resident and tax payer I find it hard to comprehend that the school board wants more money to complete the new high school. If the board was good Stewarts with our tax money in the past we would not be in this predicament. It's time for homeowners to say no to new taxes, manage the funds you have! The times of blank checks are over.

We as citizens really need to think about this school board vote. William Carlin Walker endorsed the likes of Mattie Ransom...now Mattie Ransom is helping support the William Carlin Walker campaign (drive by The Dish and view for yourself). I don't think the citizens of Liberty favored Ransom's doings on the board...maybe it's time to figure out if WCW is really a good vote. Mr. Walker was not supported by the NEA (the teachers)...there is good reason for this. Please consider this very fact...it's critical in your vote.

Maybe the reason NEA does not support Mr. Walker is that Mr. Walker brings fear to any school employee that does not produce what they were hired to do. We need six more members like Mr. Walker who will ensure our tax dollars are spent educating our children. Ms. Ransom was endorsed by the voters of Liberty, if she wishes to endorse Mr. Walker by providing space for his signs then let it be, maybe she see's great leadership and accountability,(Wow what a concept in a school board member). Here are two more names that just shine with accountability and leadership Mr. Porter and Mr. Connor. Mr. Porter old school, tells it like it is, does not like to sugar coat issues, straight shooter! Mr. Connor straight forward type guy, gets his hands dirty, does not have time for BS, taking care of our kids type guy. On April 6, 2010 three names to remember Walker, Connor, and Porter.

You don't know jack

So which is it Jack? Last week you posted a note railing on the school board for wanting to raise taxes. I think you said something like, “It’s time for homeowners to say no to new taxes, manage the funds you have!” I would agree that a tax increase is a terrible idea.

This week you seem to have a different view. You speak the praises of Ransom and Conner both current board members. Where was their leadership when the board voted to raise taxes? Ransom hasn’t come through on any of the promises she made to get elected. Are meetings on TV? No. Is spending under control? No. Have the secret closed door meetings stopped? No. If Connor and Ransom are doing such a great job why are we voting on a tax increase? As for Walker, he supports the tax increase too. He said it during the CEE forum. Walker supports higher taxes.

The last things we need are more tax raisers. Say no to higher taxes, Connor and Walker.
