The Missouri Route KK bridge, just west of Smithville, will close Friday, March 5, for repairs and reopen by Thursday, April 8, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The transportation department will brief the community about the project from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Smithville City Hall, 107 W. Main St.. Also during the meeting, department officials will give details about the closing of the Missouri Route A bridge north of Liberty, which will close Thursday, May 6, and reopen Monday, June 28. Detour signs will be in place during the bridge closures.
