It was a good weekend to be a Blue Jay.
The Liberty High School track team racked in the awards at the state meet in Jefferson City. The boys medaled in eight events and finished second in the team standings, while the girls made all-state in three events and finished in a tie for 13th as a team.
Jake Ohlhausen and James Lee made it all the way to the championship doubles match at state tennis in Springfield. Unfortunately they came up one win short of the title.
Liberty girls soccer is headed to the state final four for the first time in program history after blasting Lee's Summit North 6-1 in the quarterfinals. The state semifinals are set for Friday, June 4 in suburban St. Louis.
