The redevelopment of the Metro North Shopping Center in Clay County reached another milestone with the official designation of MD Management as the developer. The Planned Industrial Expansion Authority of Kansas City voted unanimously to award the redevelopment rights to MD Management at its August meeting.

The Kansas City Aviation Department reports that Kansas City International Airport recorded 961,586 passengers arriving and departing through its gates in July, which represents a decrease of 1.8 percent from July 2009. Passenger boardings at KCI were down 1.4 percent, with a total of 486,227 during July. For the year to date, boardings at KCI totaled 2,885,032, an increase of 1.5 percent from the same period last year.
