Silver Center plans Oktoberfest meal

Time to dust off your lederhosen for the Liberty Silver Center’s Oktoberfest Potluck, starting at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.

The event will feature German-themed food and games, as well as musical entertainment by United Teachers Superstar Accordion.

After the program, the main dish for lunch will be bratwurst provided by Silver Center council members. Participants are asked to bring a covered dish to share or $5.

The reservation deadline is Thursday, Sept. 19. Call 439-4368.

The Liberty Silver Center is a place where adults 60 and older and physically challenged individuals ages 18-59 come Monday through Friday to socialize, participate in activities, and enjoy a hot nutritious meal. The Silver Center, a place for seniors 60 and older and physically challenged individuals 18 to 59, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Liberty Community Center, 1600 S. Withers Road.
