The Woodneath Library Center opened to the public with a day of celebration on Saturday, June 22. Following an opening ceremony with presentations from Mid-Continent Public Library staff, Clay County elected officials and the Crouch family, who lived on the Woodneath property for six generations, hundreds of patrons filed into the new $13 million library. The opening festivities included ice cream, live music, children's activities, building tours and the opportunity for library patrons to check out their first items from the library's 60,000-piece collection.
