Patrons of Liberty Public Schools will have the opportunity to seat nearly half of the school district’s Board of Education when they head to the polls on April 8. From a field of six candidates, voters will elect three individuals to serve three-year terms on the board.
The election comes at a critical point for the district, as the current board is expected to announce the district’s next superintendent just days before the election. The winning candidates will be among the first Board of Education to work with the new district leader and play a vital role in shaping the direction of ongoing and future school initiatives. Understanding the significance of this vote, we have chosen to endorse Kim-Marie Graham, Lori Tritz and Angie Reed for the Liberty Public Schools Board of Education race.
