There is not much more that needs to be said about Park Hill wrestler Alan Waters.
The 125-pounder capped his career with a fourth consecutive state title — the first Trojan to accomplish the feat — and will head to the University of Missouri to continue his wrestling career in the fall. For his accomplishments he was named the 2010 Sun News Boys Athlete of the Winter.

Without a district champion, Liberty will have some difficult matches early at state
Without any first-place finishers at districts, Liberty’s wrestling team has a little tougher road to take to the medal stand at state.
When the Class 4 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships begin at 5 p.m. today at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, the seven Blue Jays who qualified for state won’t have the luxury of easing into the tourney. They must be on their games from the beginning.

Liberty to face tough district foes
All of the work Liberty’s wrestling team has put in since November will need to come to the surface this weekend.
The Blue Jays know they have an uphill climb to qualify for state at the Class 4 District 4 Tournament, which will take place on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12 and 13, at Lee’s Summit High School. The field, which includes defending state champion Park Hill, might be the toughest in the state.
